I am a novice when it comes to coin collecting so I hope someone can help me. I have a 1989-D quarter that has what looks to be a dd between Quarter and Dollar. Not sure if is a dd mark or not.

Meesh. Your picture is a little bright, can you tone it down some? I can't see the dd mark clearly enough.

Now that I look at it this way, it just looks like a gouge in it... Same for you?

This new picture does make it look more like a gouge or dimple. What does it look like in hand?
