Has anyone else seen the notes stamped https://www.wheresgeorge.com?I got three over the weekend and log them into the web sight to see how far they have traveled. I plan to spend them to keep them going too. (I have a coin show this week end) Just curious. Ragpicker

yes, I see those all the time! I truthfully have never gone to wheresgeorge.com, I dont think its right to be advertising for a website on money, it also destroys the note is a way. If I found a nots series from 1963, that would be great! but I would be kinda ticked off if it had "Wheres George" stamped on it

yeah ive been there before, kinda lost interest in it your notes wont get ever get entered again unless their stamped. and you can't buy the wheres george stamps anymore. so its kinda hopeless unless you have a bill that is pre stamped

I have seen many bills with hand written "Where's George" on them and had no trouble doing the follow up on the site. I would not write on one or stamp one myself but I do find it fun to look it up, do the update and send it on it's way. Mike

You can have ink stamps made at office supply stores or kinkos for less than $15. Its not advertising for a website on money, the point is to enter your sn on the website. Its pretty interesting.

I've found a few of the "where's George" bills. I entered them on the website, and it's kind of fun to trace it's travels. I was disappointed once when I found a stamped note that had never even been entered before!

We enter them on the website when we get one. My kids think it is pretty neat to see where the bill started and how many miles it's traveled to get here.

I feel the same about the possibility of damaging a potentially collectible note. I wouldn't do it, just for that reason alone. I'd feel to join in is to encourage such destruction, and I can't have that on my conscience as a coin/stamp/note collector.
You other collectors encourage this if you want, but I hope it's you, not me, that finds a nice star note, scarce series, or blue/red seal note one day, that is needlessly vandalized.
