As said earlier, both are respected. You'll find PCGS-graded notes cheaper, generally speaking. At least, that's my experience.

Welcome to CCF. Both TPG's provide near mirror grades for third party evaluations, with similar fees and immediate access at major coin/currency shows. Some collectors base their decision on participation in Registry Set competition, some for the holder and notations on the holder, and others on periodic value pricing on specials. As mentioned, both are well respected and are the heavy hitters at major currency auctions. Lately I've been submitting to PMG. I like their new holder and have always had positive experiences when using their service.

Well, I submit a lot to PMG and have never had a problem. I prefer them to PCGS for several reasons, including that PMG will not grade a note 65 unless it has PQ paper, while PCGS will. to the CCF!

I agree with frog and Steve. I prefer the holder from PMG... seems to me much more tamper-proof.
If you believe what you read/see from other sources, you clearly must go with PCGS.

Hey coinfrog. PCGScurrency regarding grade 65.This is what they say..An otherwise suberb note that has been pressed flat with no embossing may receive a "65" grading WITHOUT the PPQ mobifier....

Exactly, which is why I don't use them. They are saying that they will grade a note based just on centering even if it's been ironed. If I'm paying 65 money, I want original paper.

Yeah. But your not going to mark the express level for $90.00 bucks if you know the notes bin pressed. Anyway buying and sending washed and flattened notes to any grading service is a mugs game. Have a nice day COINFROG crowk-crowk.

serenitystan - as regards my simple comment on why I prefer PMG (because they will not grade a note 65 unless the paper is PQ), I have no idea what any of your replies mean or imply, including "crowk-crowk", apparently local slang.
G'day to you as well.
