I picked up this 1888 Morgan, and it definitely has a die clash around the mouth, a small spike on the nose, a hint of a clash near the neck, but does not have a die clash near the wreath on the reverse, no ear doubling, or most of the other features pictured for VAM 1B, VAM 11A or VAM 44A. Can one of you wizzes help me identify this VAM?
Thanks, Cascade... Maybe I'm blind but I'm not seeing tripling (or doubling) of the ear with this coin. A,lot of the VAMS seem to have that "n" clash at the neck, but the really prominent feature for this coin is the clash by the mouth.
For that you need to send it to member messydesk (John Baumgart) His website is http://www.varslab.com and his email is at the bottom of the page. Shoot him a message and tell him I sent you. Send the coin to him for a small fee and He will VAM it and self slab it with a VAM label. If it's truly unlisted he will then give you instructions on how to get it listed.
