I was browsing War Nickels on ebay to upgrade my album and came across this. It will be a part of the "Supplemental Set" of slabbed varieties and errors to go with what will be the best Jefferson nickel album ever.

It does have the even yellow toning but, I don't really mind. I was hoping it was a rim-to-rim die crack on the reverse but I lose it on the steps and the dome.

However, it does appear to be Struck Through Grease on the third column and has die cracks on the coat and head of the obverse. Bonus!

Looks like that anvil die was on its last leg! So you're going for nickel errors, huh. You and Potbelly must be kindred spirits, he's finding all them errors. I'll stick with my RPM's, all my old eyes can take. Good thing they don't deduct grade points for all those messy lines all over your coin!

That's the spirit! That's some lightning bolt hitting the dome there huh?
It is a different "Dollar sign" than I have. Never saw that one before. Good for you, keep on collecting the best kept secret out there. Jefferson nickels!

NickelGuy, is yours a '42-S? I've been obsessed with the Image Optimizer sample image and as far as I know, the '42-S is the one with the rim-to-rim die crack.

Well, only a few errors like a nice lamination, struck-through and these (and maybe broad-struck?). I almost consider this a variety for creating the "$" looking MM. Mainly, I want to add the major varieties like OVD, RPM, OMM, DDO and DDR.

That will, of course, be a slow process considering the prices on some of those.
