I'm thinking of getting this slabbed would like to know if it would grade high enough to be worth it. Thanks for looking.

I almost asked if you were gonna get it slabbed in the other topic. My question is, what are those marks above and below LIBERTY? From the lighting they almost look raised...

Spruette they look to be plating bubbles but I'm not going to press on them to find out for sure. The one below liberty has an odd shape for a bubble .

Think it'll only go at AU50 at best Potbelly, there's a ding on O and rim (rev) 6 o'clock and those bubbles...? See wear on steps and coat, plus what's that under bust to rim, scratch? A 99 is scarce enough to warrant slabbing I suppose, for posterity's sake. On another note, just saw your Hogans Goat vid Potbelly, you do good my man! Need to put that on spruett001's Jukebox!

They look odd for plating bubbles but, you never know. If you have easy access, I'd submit it for grading. From what I know, the 1999 Wide AM is the rarest of business-strike WAMs. Quote: just saw your Hogans Goat vid Potbelly I'm intrigued now. Link? I knew you were looking at the GD forum, Crazyb0! I'd bet a cull Morgan that what you listen to is not unknown to me! (with no way to prove it ) Feel free to share.

Are you going to slab it for your own collection or to sell? If for your own use ANACS if selling use PCGS. It is in nice enough condition to be slabbed. John1

Potbellypub's images re-oriented. I hope you don't mind. I don't see any wear on this coin. I think what we see on the jacket, steps and "STATES OF" is due to weak strike or Grease Filled Die. There appears to be a couple of carbon spots on the reverse and the obverse fields are slightly distracting. I think this is a MS coin. Maybe 62-63. I would get it slabbed as well.

Nice example, 63/64RD. Lots of field distractions.

I definitely think PBP's example is MS. The plating bubbles cause a loss of eye appeal but, should not affect grade (IMHO). The steps are a weak strike (BadThad's example shows the same). The only real detractions I see are the hits to O and N of ONE on the reverse.
