Can someone give me their opinion of the missing W in "In God We Trust".
First time posting.
Thanks

I hate to disappoint you, but there is 99.999% it's fake coin. Not a good one at that.

Compare your coin on left against authentic coin on right.

Thanks for the response. Do you mean the coin is a fake or the missing W is a fake? If it is not a fake, what is the missing W worth to the coin?

Possibly a VAM-3BO. Tough call from this image so here's a link for you to compare to. http://www.vamworld.com/1921-P+VAM-3BO

The arrow feathers don't look right to me. Could just be the photo though. If you can provide sharper pics the folks here can help you much better.

Well, the new images are an improvement and change my previous post based on the mint mark I missed. It now appears as VAM-1AP may be a possibility. http://www.vamworld.com/1921-D+VAM-1AP

It's a curious piece.
VAM 3BO refers to the missing or unattributed "W", In God We Trust, 1921-P.
This coin has a Denver Mint mark. VAM 1A refers to filled die for the "S" in Trust. 1921-D.
The Morgan series does not have many filled die varieties. If the coin is genuine, this may be a new one . .

Oops, I stand corrected . . VAM 1AP

Looking at the better picture, I'm not certain now. Filled die....

For comparison.

1921 Morgans don't usually command big money, even in MS they go for $30 to $35. With the VAM adding to the value, you could ask $50 and see if any takers . . Just my opinion . .

EF40 but the rim issues may hold it back from a straight grade.
