I bought a few Nepal 4 paisa coins for a money by material collection I'm making because they were struck on bullet casings, but they look a bit different than the pictures I see online. Some of them are brass-colored, others are bronze-colored, but the ones I got has patches of brass and bronze coloring, on the same side of the same coin. Is that normal for them?

Just viewing pictures I think they look about right.
Is there a particular focal point or detail of concern?
They are made of brass, and from my experience, I find brass with any number of odd stains, colorations and assorted blotches.
I did look at online images as well, and I'd say your images are closer to true than many of them found online.
Yours look like they may have been harshly cleaned as one plausible answer (not really sure about that).

Them having a mix of both colors -- on the same side of the same coin no less -- is what seems unusual to me. The one on the upper right has a bit of brass coloring among the bronze, for example. The ones I saw online did not have mixes of both colors.

I don't think they've been cleaned (though I could easily be wrong on this) because when I look at them very closely the luster doesn't change across the coin. Simply being discoloration seems like a reasonable explanation -- I can't say that I've seen a lot of brass coins.

I'm familiar with picking and handling brass shell cases from shooting ranges so I regard the condition of your pieces as normal.
