There are 8 classes of hub doubling and there is machine doublinghttp://goccf.com/t/51410 . There are also a lot of other kinds of doubling http://koinpro.tripod.com/Articles/...oubling.htm.
I was wondering if there is a certain year of coin that has all 8 classes of hub doubling. Let's say a 1972 LMC. Is there a class 1 and a class 2 and a class 3 etc? we know there are MD's for that year so that is covered. It would make a cool 9 coin set if they all exist. Just a thought. Input welcome.

I'm taking a wild guess John1, and saying that coin doesn't exist and if it does it's a cent. The links are nice, but there's nothing like pictures in a thread. Would it be too much of an imposition to ask you to post a picture of each class of hub doubling with a brief description?

Do you have a Cherry Pickers Guide? That's where I read about the classes.
I guess there are 9 http://errorvariety.com/Doubled-dies/index.html

John1, take it you mean individual coins w/ each form on it, not one coin with all, that would be near impossible. I have some with a 2 & 6 shifting w/RPM, would that be a twofer with a Bennie?

Chuck Daughtrey defined the 8 classes well in his book "Looking through Lincoln cents"

Just a guess but seems like 62 might be a good year. Lots of DD's on the LC's.

Not all on one coin.

There are coins that are doubled dies and have a RPM on them.

There are other years also, but not a common event.
