I grew up in British Honduras so I have a number of coins pre-dating colonial independence. Is there a market somewhere in North America for these coins? I would appreciate any advice.

British Honduras pieces do sell well through ebay, many pieces are rather scarce due to their low mintages...

Some of the old Honduran silver coins in better grades can be quite pricey, and difficult to obtain.

British Honduras (now Belize)... not to be confused with plain old (Spanish) "Honduras". Although, to be fair, "old Honduran silver coins in better grades can be quite pricey" could be correctly said regarding either.

As for Brit. Honduras, earlier pieces (aka King George V and back), in higher grades do indeed jump in value.

If we're talking just a pile of old change, Elizabeth and George VI... maybe an 1894 dime or 1916 cent that are really worn - that's pretty much junk.

Maybe pull out any Geo. V that doesn't look too heavily worn, post a few decent pics of the group, and we'll get an idea what's what.

Pretty much any British colonial coins tend to do better than a comparable world coin (in terms of age, metal content, and rarity).

This is my favorite example:
