Just about every PM collector I know has a note or two with not much collector value but priceless to them. Some are notes handed down from family members, or a note associated with memories from days gone by. To some, it's their "first of" or Birthday/Anniversary gift from a friend or loved one. Please post and/or tell us about your treasure. It was another hot afternoon in late June and I was working my second job as an apprentice mechanic at a small shop not far from the auto parts store where I was employed full time. The shop mostly did engine swaps for a local salvage yard. My employment was undocumented and I was paid cash. I wanted to commemorate my first payday so I took a new one dollar bill and glued it to a makeshift wood frame held together with 3M yellow weatherstrip adhesive and painted with Krylon Chevrolet orange engine paint. I let it dry overnight and hung it on the wall over my toolbox. It resides now in an old wooden cigar box I keep in the closet.

Do you still do engine swaps? I could use some help.

I hesitated to post this because some have seen this note before... but then again some have not. When my mother had died several years ago she left me her coin collection. In it included several "Silver Certificates". One in particular was "Priceless" as the OP had put it. It listed my Mother and Father's Engagement date on the Back (see photo below).

I have a buddy who's dad framed a $20 bill... nothing fancy... but he told him to hang it on the wall and always realize that there should never be a need great enough to warrant taking that $20 off the wall. If you need something that bad, go out and earn it!
His dad has subsequently passed away recently, and I'm sure it's value just turned to 'Priceless'!

Great stories....I would love to hear everyone who does have a story. Unfortunately I never saved any for memories although I did save and frame a $1 check from the IRS lolol believe it or not I have 2...it cost them more to print it and mail them.
