For those of you who are American collectors of Canadian coins, I would like to put one dealer in the spotlight who frequents west coast shows.

I've found this dealer particularly helpful, grades conservatively, and has a great selection of Canada and NFLD coins.
He obviously made wise purchasing decisions because his coins are consistently free of problems and priced competitively. The dealer is Tim Yager of Arroyo Grande, CA.

Here's to a great dealer!

A particularly nice coin I bought from Tim at a recent show:

Nice coin Kurt, Is this the same fellow that has the Newfoundland coins that you have been showing on the forum?

If so, he has some nice stuff.

Now see, if he has a 1946

Shafta9a--
Thanks! And yes--he's the dealer I bought the NFLD 1904H 1c from, which I'll ship to you when your letter arrives.
I spent several hours with him at the last show, carefully studying these coins under a loupe and picking out a good lot.
He's a patient guy towards collectors like me.

"Now see, if he has a 1946"
If he had one, I couldn't afford it!

Note on the coin above:
The question has been raised that this coin may show a worked/whizzed surface. Despite the details my macro lens and lighting may resolve, I am reasonably certain that is not the case with this coin. I'll touch on whizzing in a separate post sometime.

Yeah! Some dealers are pretty nice fellows,

BTW Kurt, I mailed your letter on the 14th, so it should be there soon.

Long way to California.
