I received this today (the brother to the '44-S) and am very pleased. I'm pretty sure this is a rim-to-rim die crack on the reverse. The only area that is difficult to make out is the dome but it's very close. What do you think?

Also, there is a near rim-to-rim die crack on the obverse. It takes a sharp turn on the head and continues to the rim. It gets lost in the hair above the ear area, though:

Nice coin with interesting die cracks. They definitely got their monies worth out of that die pair.

Guess that's what's meant by "choosing your sides"!

I think I'm satisfied with these two ('42-S and '44-S) as far as War Nickel die cracks go. While I don't mind the yellow toning much, I'm glad this one doesn't have it because I paid a little more for it.

I think I added another goal with this album tonight. I want one each of an MS70 and a PR70 Jefferson (preferably PCGS so they will fit in the blue box I have). For this set, it will have to be 2003 or earlier and the only year that may be affordable to me and make any sense is 1985 (my birth year).

Your reverse is a different die and there are no listings for the obverse.

That is an awesome coin in and of itself spruette and the die cracks are the cherry on top. The one on the reverse does indeed look like it goes rim to rim looks like it get very hairline on the dome but looks like I can see chips in that area. The obverse is really hard to tell from pics but if you want to send it to me I will examine it in hand I'm sure I could tell better that way! Great pickup! Thats gonna be one cool collection you have.
