Picked this up today for $123. I was on the fence on whether this was vf35 or xf40. I like the obverse, but the feathers of the eagle's legs in the reverse are weak. The leaves and arrowheads show nice detail. Your thoughts on grade and problems are, as always, greatly appreciated.

Agree with VF-35 to xf-40. I could see it going either way. I can't tell if it was cleaned or not. It certainly has a nice tone now however. Nice coin.

Agree it's a tossup grade-wise, 35 or 40. I like the hair detail but reverse is not full 40 I must agree. The mottled obverse color and bland, rather light reverse color definitely suggest an old cleaning to me.

EF40 for the obverse and VF 35 for the reverse.
