I picked this one up last week. I like it, though I am terrible at grading these. What say you?

When I first saw the obverse, I was quick to say ch unc. The tip of the mustache looks very untouched and sharp..
Could you add a clearer pic of the tip of that mustache perhaps..?
I don't understand the reverse leaves though.. Some look a bit touched by wear at their extremes..
I will let the George V experts add their expertise..
Still a very nice example..

I'm no George V expert either, but I don't see how the leaves get that worn without significant wear on the obverse, so I'm thinking worn die/weak strike. There's an extra blob of metal on the stem of the top left three leaves, which makes me think something was going on with the die. So I'm going to say MS63/64.

The reverse wear is common for these I believe .kbbpll I think is on the right track with weak strike. The wear on the leaves are the reverse's high points . Grade ? I'm with the leave to experts camp . Whatever it is , its a really nice piece

I'd say weak reverse as well. The obverse looks like a solid MS64, but I don't know how grading companies would judge the weak reverse

MS-64. I think the reverse is just weakly struck.

I would say this coin is an MS62 given I think it is a weak strike.

My initial impression is that it's not genuine.

1cent- what makes you think that. I hadn't even entertain the possibility and was just posting for grades. I would be very interested to find out if it entirely fake.

These are the red flags for me: The obverse does not quite line up with a "known good" 1929 for me. The color seems off for a coin that's nearly 90 years old, almost unnaturally even on the obverse. The third point (mentioned above) is that the obverse looks UNC, but the reverse looks VF-EF level. This could be the result of a weak strike, but that is a major disparity.
Hopefully I'm wrong and it's fine. On the latest generation of "eastern imports", the coins have gotten so good that sometimes the only real tip-off can be a mismatching of dies. For me, authentication now takes precedence over grading on every coin I view.

I am going to say AU55-58 Genuine. Looks like an ex folder coin and the wear on the reverse also the difference in the toning can be explained because of the method of storage. IF this was a light strike then the toning should also be on the missing high points of the design, This is Not the case with this coin, That's why I am in the AU55-58 area
