The inside of the coins exposed and it looks like extra metal its as tall as the rim

looks like solder or some other metal material was applied to the reverse. If you can post a closeup of that area, please use the CCF Free Image Optimizer to crop away all the blank surroundings.

I might also add that these were found in a house I moved to. I'm guessing the last owner was a collector because there was 1922 Peace dollar and a few 2 dollar bills that were left in places that were hard to see

The glue on the reverse indicates it used to be attached to a sheet that listed interesting Lincon/Kennedy facts like this one:

If it is glue or gunk would acetone take it off? Or any other ways to clean it?
