Its obviously doubled in some spots or correct me if wrong. But why is it like this? Is it someones cleaning job gone bad? It seems to still have its luster (if thats even possible looking like this. Pretty cool cent though roll hunting.

Approaching 1981° needed to melt copper. Acid tends to leave a more even appearance. Thanks, Doug.

Also,can not be gas bubbles because it is not a plated cent. Plated cents started in 1982.
