Cant find them to save my life and I am wondering if they accidentally got mixed in with the nickel dump I did at the bank a month ago.

It's not a big loss and I have 20 more, but not knowing what the heck I did with them is going to drive me nuts!

Ouch! I accidentally spent a $100 star note when buying a vacation with my girlfriend. We were under a time crunch and when we got to the travel agency I realized the mistake. It was too late to go back home and switch out the $100. I guess I could have found an ATM and withdrawn $100 but we had to lock in the price and I think it was close to closing time.

On a good note, I found the nickels. I had tucked them inside the little pocket of the binder since I was waiting to get more of the plastic sheets that hold 20 coins in 2x2 flips. Something told me to look again this morning and to check that pocket, so I am glad I am not losing my mind completely (or losing my coins).

Good !..Glad you found them !......my dad recently gave me 150 War Nickels that he'd always saved when he was a kid........I just have them in a ziplock for now down at the safety deposit box at the bank.......not sure what I should put these in......I WOULD NEED 8 OF THOSE "20 COIN SHEETS" !...(that's A LOT of nickels !)

I have three stories.
*I was once going through a bunch of hundreds looking for errors/star notes. Someone called me from home and they couldn't find the money thinking that we were robbed (it was just over $4,000). I found it in my jeans pocket.

*Another time, I couldn't find an ancient coin, and two gold $5 dollar pieces(1999 and 2000). I went looking all over the place and I couldn't find it. I go to school and I find one in my backpack. But I couldn't find the other one. I figured that someone took it. Then that night when I was doing my homework, I open my text book and there it is. (This happened about a week before the $4,000 went missing).

*About a month ago, I received a Shield nickel in the mail and I lost this one. I tore up the place and even went digging in the trash, but I couldn't find it. Then when I was putting my books away, I saw that it was attached to my day planner. There was tape residue on the flip, so it got stuck to it.

Glad that you found them!

i still have a few 09vdb that I bought about a year ago that are unaccounted for. and a 99 silver proof set. the good part about it is that finding the buried treasure is worth cleaning my room for it.
