I received advanced notice from my rep of a 2 oz Canada Day Coin - Glow in the Dark. It sells for $189.95 and mintage of 5000.
Limited to 1 per customer.
A really nice looking coin with Parliament Hill, blue sky overhead with Snowbird jets and crowd of flag wavers on the bottom. Edited by MoneyPenney 06/22/2017 01:10 am

Liking this one a whole lot more than the Canada 150 puzzle coin! Neat image, but my only fear is a lack of definition on the face of the coin (looking more like a sticker applied to silver than a coin).
With a mintage of 5000, I don't think I'll have to move too quickly... mind you, I'm guessing Canada Post will have a huge allocation, given the theme. (edit: and lower price)

With the allocation of only 1 per household, I believe the RCM is predicting this one to sell out quickly and wants this to go around to many rather than just a few people. Also, that puzzle coin ....... I just don't know!!!

I see in 2 oz GITD very kitschy series:
Firefly, Howling Wolf, Fireworks, Night Forest in Owl Eyes...I think I missed one.
Its ok to like it, just totally not in my taste.

I ordered two of them. Now I'm wondering if I should cancel one order. I have a few questions:
1) Are GITD coins much easier to produce than regular ones? A regular coin requires two dies. However, I don't think this GITD coin requires any new dies, since the reverse side is just flat and the obverse side is just generic.
2) Will the GITD feature deteriorate as time goes by? Will the vivid colours wear out? After 100 years, will the painting still be there? (Yes, I do intend to bring my coins to Mars.)

It would be interesting to leave one or two of the worthless dino 2 coin out in the sun for a year and see if the effect is still there.

Yes, for science.
I think I'm going to hit the cancel button soon.

They've had that same deal since the big reveal Friday night and didn't sell out.
My guess is they had a boat load of these coins and that it's another Bromberg special. Buy it if you like it but that copper/bronze round is worth a few bucks at most IMO so no real incentive there.
It's also available at CC&C but no bonus (just collector points).

Quote: It's also available at CC&C but no bonus (just collector points). Actually, they have a time limited offer ending July 6th. If you spend $150 or more you get one of these bronze coins for free. CC&C offers a better deal to those who have to pay tax at TSC.
