Is This 1979 Nickel Possibly An Error Coin?

I'm new here and not really what you'd call an avid coin collector so I'm never really sure if I've found something special. That being said, here's a 1979 nickel that I found in my change jar. At first I thought maybe it's just had a rough life but after closer inspection, it looks like maybe an error coin. Any thoughts? Should I keep it or toss it back in the change jar? Thanks! Bump111 Pillar of the Community United States 3327 Posts	Posted 06/26/2017 5:07 pm That looks like what is referred to as a " Dryer Coin". People with more knowledge of those coins can give you more info, but it is a coin that falls into the space between a clothes dryer drum and the drum shell.
