Just joined yesterday. Never knew about this forum till I was searching for something unrelated and stumbled upon it. Grew up in Pennsylvania and Boston but the Alaskan Arctic has been my home for ten years now. Been collecting for almost 40 years since my grandpa gave me a Wheat penny when I was around 7. Now I specialize mostly in silver eagles, Morgans and Peace dollars, and US commemoratives. Anyway glad I finally found this place! |

Welcome to CCF!
I imagine it must be hard or expensive to have coins shipped up there. That's my dream state to visit some day.

Everything is hard and expensive to ship to Alaska. Too many times I see "ships to Continental United States only". My biggest fear with coins is that they will be lost in shipping. I don't live on the road system, so everything in the village arrives by plane. But even with gas at $8/gallon and milk even more than that, it's still worth it. Make the move if you can!
