Hello,

I don't know anything about these coins but I believe it's .24 AGW and actually hand signed, not a facsimile or "authorized reproduction". Is that correct?

This would be an emotional buy because I grew up in Baltimore watching Cal Ripken play. The price as of this posting is $367, which is pretty close to spot, right?

Any info here? What would you pay? And, ha ha, perhaps most importantly, is the autograph real? I know I should perhaps focus on the coin on this forum, but I can't help it- my apologies.

Here's the one I want to bid on:

It is a hand signed autograph. The other silver and clad Hall of Fame coins have facsimile autographs but apparently the gold ones are signed by the Iron Man. My favorite baseball player too.

Another thing, I might suggest is that you be a little more vague about items you might be bidding on in the future. If I found something I really like and am bidding, I certainly don't want to draw any extra attention to it and pay more because I tipped another person off about a cool coin I hunted down.
That's just me. I hope you get it and I will not bid! I promise.
Anyway, this is MS70 which is as good as it gets.
I think it has a lot of bidding to go. Look at what others like it are fetching or what they asking.
Check out completed auctions that sold. There will be a difference in price between a MS69 and a MS70 most always. I have a early Cal Ripken autograph on a team player postcard. It is spelled out clearly and complete.
After a lot of signing of autographs over the years, celebrities and athletes tend to shorten them up an sign rather carelessly. Cal still has some flair here but has really shortened his name. That's the way it is from here on out.
I used to get free seats at Memorial Stadium and the first year of Camden Yards because my family knew the head of the public relations. Good luck!

My math says spot would be closer to $328. Sounds like difference would be chump change to you though considering the sentimental value.

One last thing .... I looked around again and noticed that there are both facsimile and actual signed slab labels on the other silver and maybe clad coins of this series as well.
This one is real but the ones that aren't have this below it.

The auction has ended and selling price was $490. Did you end up buying it?
