I asked a teller if they had any foreign coins and I usually get the same old answer, no we ship them out weekly. But this day I got lucky, $ 27.00 face value of Canadian coins. Comprised of Canadian Dollars, Two Dollars, quarters, dimes and nickels and cents.
Here are some pics of the Canadian Cents. Almost all of the plastic rolled pictured are all 1963? Some are in remarkable shape I have to say.
@ NickelGuy, I paid USD $ 27.00 for the $ 27.00 Canadian coins. I know I overpaid some when you compare the exchange rate but I am most likely going to sell the cents off to make up the difference. I am visiting Canada in September so the other coin denominations I will spend.
SilverTracker Good grab at the bank. I would have never thought of asking my bank for Canadian coinage or other world coins they might ended up with. I like Canadian coins so I might try this some time myself. Have a fun time in Canada.
