First one I have seen. Looks like a die gouge? Nice. 2x2 worthy.

Looks more like a linear plating bubble to me. A die gouge would only affect the fields. It would have been die damage to make the bust to raise in that area. Probably wouldn't happen to a die. Thus my calling it a plating issue .

If it's a die gouge, it's a heckuva big one. Try poking at it with a toothpick. If it easily flattens when poked, it was a gas bubble. If not, someone at the mint messed up big time.

Thanks everyone!
I did the toothpick thing...didn't flattened at all. So...It's a Heckuva or die gouge? Is this error adding some value to this coin?
Thanks.....

You might get a small premium on the right day to the right collector.

The coin has more to be examined or questioned than what's already mentioned. The bust as a whole looks odd or weak. Maybe just the glare in the current images.

Why the weak details in the hair, beard, cheek, eye and the flat spot running through the neck in line with what seems to be raised anomaly on the ear going up?

Is the weight and reverse normal? Thank, Doug.

Hi..
I'm posting more pics. This coin weights 2.52.
I looked on the 2004 coins and they have a flat spot running through the neck. Let me know what do you think.. Do you think that is worthy of be grade it!!

Not worth grading by a TPG. Could try selling it on ebay, but after all the costs you might not make much if anything.Put in a 2x2 and add it to your collection.

See in the added images the dark toning and glare had altered my perception a bit compared to the second and third images before, which to me seemed mushy and lacking detail.

Circulation signs are not helping. Could be wrong, but doesn't have a typical gouge appearance nor location so I'm still scratching my head. Thanks, Doug.
