I'm having a heckuva time finding a '32P that hasn't been cleaned or is worn out. By all counts (ok, my own), I should be able to get a nice raw coin for about $20. This is about the closest I've come in that price range. The obverse is pretty dinged up, but looks original. The reverse looks decent enough.

What would you grade it, and is it worth $20?

Thanks.

Thanks Ed. What indicates to you it's been dipped? And do you mean dipped in acetone, or something else?

This is definitely AU Details and has been cleaned and/or dipped. The surfaces and the inordinate amount of luster for a coin with this much wear give it away. I would pass on this in a heartbeat, but don't worry, problem-free 1932 Washingtons are out there They were saved in large numbers at the time.

Yes, for a coin that old that has some wear, it's too perfectly clean to not have been dipped in probably some kind of cleaner.....not acetone.
Rest in Peace

I'm sure you could have done better for the money . This coin is NOT original , don't be fooled by that reverse ,worn and too clean with a buffed appearance ,not to mention the obverse which I'm appalled by .
