What does the tracking info say now?
Hopefully it's just a little mixup and they'll show up soon.

Out for delivery does not count as "delivered".
Take the tracking number with you and they can input it at the Post Office and perhaps give you an update, or even produce the package.

Ask your carrier. If it showed "out for delivery" then it was probably scanned and then placed in the truck. If a delivery attempt was made (if it required a signature) then the website would show that and the carrier would leave a paper notification with instructions on how to get you package.
Keep an eye on the USPS website for tracking updates, too. It is not "realtime".

I've had items "Out for Delivery" for two or three days before they're in my mailbox. It's rare but it happens.
You won't be out a dime regardless, eBay/Paypal will cover your full purchase price including delivery without proof of delivery and "Out for Delivery" doesn't provide proof of delivery.

Quote: I've had items "Out for Delivery" for two or three days before they're in my mailbox Same here I've had it happen twice. Give it a day or so before you complain.

This happens to me pretty often, tracking says it's out since morning doesn't come to two or three days later. Tracking then says ALERT by the night, I go complain to the PO they say" it will come today."

T-Bop, from a former mail carrier= a lot of things can happen, if it was a SigReq, you should have received a Pink delivery slip saying so, same with other attempts(3x). If scan showed OFD and no final scan then assume it was UAA meaning "undeliverable as addressed", and is being returned to sender if it had a return address. If it is longer than two days since, no way to intercept package, need to notify sender. If PO shows delivered, may be wrong house, but yours sounds UAA, that skips scans at times.
I recently had a 35lb package "disappear off radar" in St. Louis going to FL. It wound up being delivered w/o tracking. Package had been dropped and blown apart, trak# destroyed. Arrived in plastic wrap! Friggin' weaklings!

Tony, though of something else, package was missed by carrier(sub doing route?), regular carrier delivers next day, VERY common!

I too have had the "out for delivery" but not received that same day.
I can relate to the frustration , you've spent your money and that message is cruel tease when all you want is your stuff.

wait until tracking either says "delivered" and no package, or it's been more than 2 days with no movement. A couple years ago I bought a couple coins from an international seller. It went "off the radar" and after a few days I called to see what in the world was going on. Apparently two people were in charge of sorting "packages" versus "letters". It was in a rigid envelope, so they were playing hot potato with it, sending it back and forth. It was at my front door 30 minutes after I called.

I agree with everyone above, but also I don't think you'd be out anything... isn't that what the ebay buyers protection is for? It would be the seller trying to work with USPS on a claim and the buyer would be reimbursed?
