Not a DDO, but a strong example of MD ( Machine Doubling). Though it has no extra value, you may want to hang onto it just so you know what MD looks like.

Though not applicable on this specific coin, it is really easy to tell on mintmarked coins. If a coin's digits AND mintmark have the same spread in the same direction, it almost surely MD.
MD is generally described as "flat and shelf like" and it reduces the size of the "doubled" device, rather than enlarging it like a true DD.

John1 has it correct. It is extreme die wear that altered the edge of the devices towards the rim. Not a doubled die.

This is Die Deterioration Doubling. Very common on 1953 and 1955 Lincoln cents.

For the record this is not Machine Doubling; DDD and MD are completely unrelated to each other.
