Picked up a couple of Buffalos (1913-S TI, '13-S TII, '18-S, '21-S) dirt cheap.

This is the'13-S TII, and they all have the same 'look' to them. Were these Nic-A-Date'd (or something else)? I'm honestly not too concerned, as I paid next to nothing for them, but I'm just not familiar with Buffalos enough to know if they are still worth anything.

Those were the 50/50 vinegar/hydrogen peroxide bath. Looks like a 12-24 hour soak.

Be careful with those, they have a tendency to be softer than normal due to the chemical reaction, details smash easily.

So that would make it "Details - Improperly Cleaned". Any value still? For the lot I paid $10.

Yeah, considered damaged, original grade if any was PO-1. I use 'em to fill the holes until I come across a natural. Done some myself.

Your 1913-s TY2 regularly sells for $40 on ebay. Poorly done 1913-s TY2's sell for $30 on ebay. The 1921-s sells for $7-$10 on ebay. The 1913-s TY1 sells for $2 on ebay. The 1918-s has no value.

If they make you happy, they were a good buy. Most collectors develop a continuing interest in better quality items as they gain experience.

But it's hard to appreciate great coins until you've developed a knowledge about good and not so good coins.

Yes this is a details coin .Not so sure it is a vinegar & peroxide bath, as I had much different results with that method with my Buffs. In my opinion this was more likely a mild acid bath .

I did the 50/50 with a couple of dateless buffalos as well. It looked almost identical to the one you have in the picture. It looks as though there is still some value to the key dates that have had an acid bath. Most likely hole fillers for people's albums.
