What is the maximum weight for a Lincoln Penny 1962 that the limit allows

Well, if I'm not mistaken, the mint tolerance is 0.13 grams. So, that would be 3.23 grams on a copper penny.

48 grains plus/minus 4 grains or 3.11g +/- 0.26g

or 2.85 to 3.37 (grams)

With all that said many cents and other denominations can be found over and below normal tolerances. They rarely attract much collector interest as the error is not obvious and considered minor by most. There are of course exceptions to this rule.

So 46 to 50 gr or 2.98 to 3.24 gm
