1) On the 100 point scale, are there actually coins graded just 1 point?

2) If so, are there people that try to own Great Britain 1 point coins?

3) What would you grade this coin?

100 point scale isn't as popular over here, we don't tend to use TPG and jist use standard terms (generally applied harshly) but I have pennies worse than that, look how clear the date is!

I echo what DavidUK has said.

I've had a lot worse! Alot of these remained in circulation until decimalisation so very common to find in this state.

I prefer to grade Australian coins in the harsh British way, and American coins in the 70 point Sheldon scale.

This coin too poor to bother with a grade; that would be consistent with harsh British grading.
Unless it was an extremely rare coin, most British collectors would not be bothered too much.

If it was an early American copper, I would probably grade it one or two points, but I have never had to consider to seriously grade any coin in this condition.

I prefer to grade ancient coins by myself, because there are lots of other factors that contribute to the grading. Fine by me, because most TPGraders do not bother with ancient coins anyway. At least, I think I can understand why.
