Yes, that does appear to be a die crack along the base of the neck. This is a common location for die cracks on the quarters. I don't know about under the ear though - maybe a closer image of that area?

Thanks and welcome to CCF
Rest in Peace

I have seen the extended die crack examples on the Bust mostly in 1996 and earlier Kennedy halves, and less and less on the later years, this is an interesting one!
Rest in Peace

If the one running cheek to ear is raised an not just plastic, that is a die gouge, not crack. Something may have scratched the die(faulty feeder?)

And, looking closely at crack along bust bottom...there appears to be either a strikethru(possibly imbedded object) die defect in the center of the ridge. This most likely caused weakness at this high point starting the crack, interesting!
