It is definitely Ancient Greek, and looks like it may be Macedonian, perhaps minted under Philip II, the father of Alexander the Great, and who ruled 359-336 BC. That is a Greek god, perhaps Apollo or Zeus, on the obverse and not a portrait of the ruler. Hope this helps!
