Michael Hayes known as Elbesaar here (MFH on other forums) has passed away. His tremendous expertise in all things Barber related will be sorely missed.

I don't believe I ever had any interaction with him but, it is always heart-breaking to lose a vibrant person and mind. His work, thoughts and expertise will continue to live on here and elsewhere.

That's a gift.

I extend my sincere condolences to his family.

Perhaps we can all take a very tiny amount of comfort from death.
We ALL have an eventual 100% failure rate.
That's a good thing, when we mourn loved ones who have passed away, and will eventually be reunited, at least in spirit.

I will eventually meet a lot of my CCF buddies, sometime in the future, when we will re share our kindred spirits*.

*Ref. Anne of Green Gables.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We ALL have the ability to look BEYOND death:
"I'll find you in the morning sun, and when the night is new, I'll be be looking at the moon, and I'll be seeing YOU".

Think about it:
Next time you see someone in their last hours on this Earth you don't need to accept 'goodbye', just say:
"Be seeing you", and mean it, because it really IS part of a continuance.

I never really appreciated the Barber series that much before he came along. He will most definitely be missed.
