Hola most excellent coin dudes! My googlefu is as lacking as my coin knowledge these days so I was wondering if you fine people could tell me what these anomalies are called and if they would be worth having graded, possibly sold. Thank you in advance for your time.

That's better. You Effigy Quarter was struck with a partial collar error. The dollar coin, I'm not sure what the error is.

Here's how and what causes a partial collar error to happen.
Partial collar strikes occur when there is a malfunction of the striking press. This causes the collar to be in an incorrect position. The lower die (usually the reverse die) is recessed in the collar. This allows the coin which is going to be struck to have a formed rim. After a coin is struck the lower die raises upwards, pushing the struck coin out of the collar and ejecting it.
If a blank entering the collar is not properly seated, it will only have partial reeding as it is struck. The edge of this coin will have a partial reeding and a partial blank surface area. Recently, the Mint has installed new machinery where either die can be installed in either position.

It does. Thank you computer. Is that same reason why E Pluribus is longer than Sarah Jessica Parker's face when she see a dead kitten?

Your welcome. Very funny comment by the way. E PLURIBUS is longer because are quarter is in a late die state and when that happens, the letters get a "mushy" like appearance and they stretch out causing the letters to getting bigger and longer. This is called Die Deterioration and does not have extra value. But the Partial Collar error carries a small premium. :)

So in reference to the grant I found this on PCGS, but it doesn't have any pictures. When looking at the obverse of the coin if the letters are upside down to you, that is position b? Or am I as dyslexic as I ma emosdnah?
