I got it for 35 bucks. Overpaid by a little bit I think. He was asking 40. Thanks!

Is there a lot of demand for these bills?... the shop I work for has 6 or 7 of them in the same and better condition, I'm not sure if they are priced appropriately or not they are asking between $30 and $70 a piece. We generally don't get a lot of people in the shop looking for coins and bills compared to the number looking for jewellery and bullion.

well. it all depends on the signatures on them. theres 4 different combinations, and also if its authorized. under the left hand 25 cent symbol it will either say "AUTHORIZED BY R.S.C. CAP 31."
or it will look like mine and not have anything there at all. The authorized ones are generally worth more, ranging about 45 - 135$ VF- EF.
From what I gather, talking to guys at shops, is that most people just buy these to carry around in their wallets and show off. I doubt Ill ever buy one for over 60 bucks

I'm just curious as to which side of the bill the authorization is on?

on the side with the writing. If it has a Big black letter next to the 25 Icon on the left like in the picture on mine, it isn't authorized.
Heres a comparison for you

Hey! snaz, Nice shinplaster, it looks to be in about VF condition.

You may, have paid a bit more, but like they say "they don't make 'um anymore" LOL

If it will reach EF according to the Charlton Paper Money catalogue, it's worth $75.00.

BTW- alterego, Welcome to the forum.
