Maybe put into a vice and then partly bent? Whatever the exact cause, my money is on PMD.

It looks like a vise job or smashed in between some sort of mechanical device, the raised area on the Obvs. aligns with the indentation on the reverse on the exact area, and the pressure was not sever enough to distort the devices.

Return it back to the bank to have it sent in to be removed from circulation. PSD.

Chase, I would think if the damage was severe enough to bend this coin in such a manner it would be more than enough pressure to remove all the devices in that area. Both obverse and reverse. But yet I do agree it is PSD or PMD.Coop, I think I'm going to hold onto this one just because of the oddity it has. Yes I know it has no monetary value.

Newbie234, you are correct on both accounts. It was struck and it is odd. The only difference is, it was probably struck with a hammer. It is definitely unique though. I'll go out on a limb here and say, you have the only one in the world. Forensically speaking, you will not find another one like it.

Sorry. It's nothing at all. Just heavy PMD. Only worth 5 cents.
Errers and Varietys.
