Hi everyone,

I'm not too familiar with grading Italian coins. I've found this piece in a lot of about 200 coins that mainly consisted of German notgeld coins but also included some foreign issues like this one.

I assumed that 80 € already were a bargain for the whole lot but then I found this little gem here. What do you guys think about grade and value? I'd probably go for VF...

Best regards from Berlin,
Potsdam

maybe xf45 details...can't decide. PVC damage, wear on some of the high points, on the lettring along the rim, rim dings, a couple small marks on the lions. disclaimer: I am by no means any good at grading.. :-)

In England or Italy sharp Very Fine nearing Extra Fine. US grade EF-45.

I noticed the dip or wiping to remove the PVC gunk- unsure how graders or buyers react to that. In my case, once the PVC was removed, the natural look of the coin was spoiled.

By American standards, I'd say that makes XF. If there're hairlines or otherwise disturbed surfaces owing to mishandling, it might well go "details" even at that circulated grade.
