The BEP / moneyfactorystore.gov released a product today called the 2017 $2 Single Collection. It's got 4 $2 notes that start with the SN "2017" and sells for $29.95, which is a relatively good deal for their products.

At $30, that's $7.50/note or $3.75/dollar.

For comparison, the 2017 Founding Fathers Set is $22 and contains a $1 and $2.
That's $11/note or $7.44/dollar.

The 2017 Triple Deuce Set is $60 and contains 3 $2 notes.
That's $20/note and $10/dollar.
Ok, so these are matching serial numbers, but still.

Anyone have any insight on the lower relative cost and....who's buying?

I bought the set but only because I have all of the rest of the sets and didn't want to break the streak. These sets used to sell out, but I notice the 2017 Triple Deuce set is still available.

I know what you're thinking....pretty anemic set, and I agree. It's actually no different than buying annual Mint sets of coins. I remember back in the day the BEP would sell star note sheets.....haven't seen that in quite some time.
