Bought this from the past RCNA auction... I don't know if this would still be considered an ICCS graded coin. What do you guys think? I won't be sending them an email before I get a few of your opinions since I don't want to jump to conclusions Thanks

I would reholder it, in the event you wished to sell it for the listed grade.

You are right in that it can't be switched with another coin, but is it still considered an ICCS graded coin? It's open enough to cause damage to the coin

ICCS flips are not well-designed to protect heavier and larger coins... this is a common problem...

I'm sure they'll make it right for you. Do not remove the coin. Quote: I won't be sending them an email... You got that right. 416 488 8620

It is a simple business motto... "If it is not broken, don't fix it"They also hold the lion's share of Canadian coin certification in Canada. So why would they spend any money to stretch into the digital age? A quick search on ebay.ca shows: ICCS coins: 10,156 listings CCCS coins: 261 listings

Quote: common sense would say they will evolve or become extinct... There is no competition besides CCCS in Canada for grading coins so that is why ICCS has cornered the market. The monopoly would end if either PMG or PCGS ever opened a branch office in Canada. As of now, it is too expensive and too difficult to send coins to the US for grading.

Didn't get the chance to talk to them. These past few days were hectic at work. But I will try to call on Tuesday

I like ICCS too. Sometimes I just have one coin I want variety confirmed/graded and I stuff in $30 cash, they mail back the coin with a handwritten credit on the bottom of the invoice...which I then apply to another submission(s).
I like CCCS for hard slabbed coins...Louis was a bit too late to the show for my collection of soft slabs. :)
