I bought a nickle set at a yard sale a few years back, there is a Canadian nickle 1971 , a Sherritt Mint token, and an unstamped blank token. The is also a piece of the nickle sheet they were struck from and some cards with the history of the mint. It's all in a blue plastic case.
Is anyone familiar with this set?

I'd post a pic but it's just not working even after resizing

Hello jbmkirby. I am familiar with this set. They show up from time to time. I used to own one. Occasionally I have seen the set on ebay too. It's a great yard sale find!

In case you are wondering, the scissel / webbing in the set does not correspond to any Canadian government-issued coinage. I think it was left over from the minting of some sort of token.

Thanks Scissel I haven't had much luck finding information on it. And yes I always thought that piece didn't seem right in comparison to the coins.

I have the same set and heres one that goes good with it. It has the 3 different sizes of Anthoney Henday tokens, note the small one is in the nickle set with no stamping on the back. Also I have put together a Sherritt Mint collection of there past other tokens and some coins they made for other countries.
