It's pretty far gone. I doubt it is a 1922 no D.

If I had to guess, I'd say a '29. The rim is interesting. Can we see a pic of the reverse?

23 or 29, suspect 23 since motto suggests the same extreme die use age as the 23's. 29's didn't get that overworked before replacement(at least not until after October!)

My vote is for 1929 as it appears the final digit's bottom is lower than the previous digit (like a 9 would do, and no other digit would do back then).
