I'm a novice collector. I have a few subscriptions from the mint, when I received my 2016W Silver American Eagle the date field looks odd. I carefully removed it from the capsule and the date looks uneven. While I had it out I looked at the edge lettering and it seems to be triple die at the top. I can't find any posts about an error.

I'm going to ask the mods to move this to the error section so that it get the proper attention.

Not to familiar with this series, but thinking the edge lettering is incused and applied at time of the strike(s). Think I read the coins are struck multiple times.

Could be wrong, but I'm thinking Strike Doubling or a slight movement between strikes. Thanks, Doug.

PS:

PSS: Curious is this one a proof or an uncirculated issue?

Halo1st, This is an Uncirculated 2016W SAE. I've never used forums before and not really sure how to post an answer. Thanks to everyone's comments.
