I obtained a set of coins from a professional archaeologist who recovered the coins from central Israel several years ago. Most were Roman, but I believe this coin is Islamic. While I have identified some of the coins, I will be very grateful for any help I can get in identifying this coin pictured here. It measures approximately 25mm in diameter.

@KC, with that tughra, it sure looks like Ottoman Empire to me. The date is AH 1168, which corresponds to 1754/1755 AD. Compare your coin with this one:

It definitely is not an exact match, but hopefully gets you close enough to get yourself started.
