This is a fun piece. It's made by a medalist from the 16th century, and probably made to deceive. But these things are so interesting they take on a collect-ability of their own! See the book link below for the "coin". What the hole will do to the price I don't know. But with such detail and 34 mm it is still fun to look over and admire! The things you find in estate lots are so interesting sometimes! What is neat about this guy is he never copied a coin correctly completely. So this obverse and reverse are pure fantasy together.

Even though it's a fake, it is a very beautiful piece of art work. The detail of the facial features on Galba look so life like. And the reverse is just stunning. This is a piece I would love to own but I'm sure would be well out of what I could afford. Thanks for posting it.
