I have seen these plugged cents a few times here on CCF. Type in cent plug in search box. I would like to know why so many of these are out there. Maybe some kind of a test, as part of a schooling program?

Wonder if these are not a trade school test of laser cutting. Like for programming these large CDC machines. I too have seen some lately?

We're talking microns in size here to put back together and hold.

They cut the coin with a circular punch, then cool/freeze coin and put it back into the cent. PSD Interesting, but damaged.
