Here is a 1953 Crown from Southern Rhodesia. Four animals plus a plant makes 5 points for the design. The diameter and silver alloy yield an additional 3 points for 8 total.   "If you climb a good tree, you get a push."

Most number of animals, insects, birds, sea animals..Basicaly anything that is living except humans...Trees or plants are not included but will give you a bonus point...
1 Point per creature..
Extra points........
Silver = 2 points
Gold = 3 Points
Bigger than 29mm diameter = 1 Point

Ok well, I've got a challenge that I've been thinking about for a while. Throughout the ages, whenever and wherever people have used money, seemingly some others have tried to deceive. Just off the top of my head, I can think of several examples: Ancient Roman fourrees, the gold plated V nickels of 1883, Henning nickels and other counterfeits. This of course doesn't even include the buckets of modern fakes being churned out every day and foisted upon us by unscrupulous sellers. So here is the challenge, post a "coin" meant to fool others from your collection, along with the story behind how it was intended to dupe the unsuspecting. I look forward to this window into your black cabinets http://www.theblackcabinet.org/about/ No points, but I'll pick the most interesting story on this Thursday evening. Here is my story: Like many here, I grew up playing video games in arcades. Some machines took quarters, but others only took arcade tokens. For them, you'd go to the money exchanging machine and feed in a $1 or $5 bill and get a fist full of these tokens. I still have a bunch, including the one pictured below. What makes this one special is that some enterprising kid took a nail and put a hole into it. As it turns out, in those days the games' mechanism for recognizing that a new coin had been paid was just the toggling of a mechanical paddle from the weight of the coin. Therefore, if you tied a thin thread through a holed token, you could "yo-yo" the token up and down on the paddle and rack up some serious credit before anyone noticed what you were doing. If caught, you could simply tug hard on the thread (which would break) and the incriminating evidence would roll into the collection bin inside the machine. Or at least that is the story that I heard other kids tell about these things...   "If you climb a good tree, you get a push."
