Good idea for a challenge @finn--I'm thinking we will see plenty of cast cash this round.

My entrant for smallest holed coin would is also my oldest holed coin--a so-called Ant Nose from the Zhou Dynasty. It dates to between 400 and 220 BC and is attributed as Hartill 1.4.

Added: sorry forgot to post the dimensions (11 x 17 mm).

Post your smallest coin that was made with a hole in it! 1mm in diameter (of the coin, not the hole) = 1 point.

So are you looking for coins with a 1 mm hole in it

Sorry all for falling to the wayside!

@Keith, the size of the hole is irrelevant, as long as it was made at the mint and not after by a third party. What matters is total coin diameter.

Right now, Princetane is in the lead with 15mm!

Let's leave this open until tomorrow AM for any last minute entries, otherwise Princetane is the winner!
