Is there a place to register serial numbers for disputed notes? I have 2 25 cent notes that I am sure will not be paid for by the buyer and would like to put it out there that they are unpaid or stolen.

Unfortunately I trusted when the buyer when he sent me a screen shot of a paypal payment processed I went ahead and sent the notes. I should have logged into my paypal account to confirm. Since then the buyer has been ignoring me and not responding to my paypal invoice. It's a $25 loss which is not a big deal, but it's irritating. I gave the buyer until tomorrow morning to pay or start putting the serial numbers out there as stolen.

Never send out anything without the official PayPal advice.

Go to PayPal and ebay, if you sold through ebay, and open a Non-Paying Buyer case.

Go to your local police and file a fraud report, and ask them to contact the buyer's police jurisdiction with the serial numbers. Also, go online, and notify every coin and hobby shop via email of the stolen notes, and include the buyer's name. Maybe the RCMP has a fraud desk for inter-Provincial stuff.

Lot of work for $25, but he's been doing this for a while, he's figured out a system which relies on trust and complacency by the seller, and it works. Prove him wrong.

No, actually a dealer in Florida. Who made a mistake in paying and decided to ignor me once I called his BS out on the Facebook site I sold the notes to him. Sent a pp invoice after his mistake, at his request now he is ignoring the invoice.

Since he's a dealer the notes are probably in his shop and available for inspection. Post the city and shop, maybe someone on the forum lives there and will visit to see if they're on display.
