The die crack caught my eye and I really like it. I have 2 questions on this coin.

The area stemming from the "B" in Liberty looks odd to me. I have checked with other halfs that I have and this area isn't present? But this is the only 69' That I have.

Next, This is a silver coin (looking at the edge, silver no copper color). This coin weighs 11.28g. According to the coin weight chart it should weigh 11.5g. Is this actually a silver coin or something else I haven't thought of?

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Die crack on the hair. Die wear off the top of the "b" area. Die wear shows on the devices closer to the rim in that same direction. So your coin was struck with an aged die. LDS (Late-Die-State)

Well, it is a "silver" coin in the sense that the cladding (80%) and the core (20%) both contain silver totaling 40% by weight, and the silver rim is expected. Further, it's within the allowed Weight Tolerance (0.4g) for the issue.

Basically used to determine which weight is for wrong stock strikes.

Thanks. In all honesty, I have had this coin for about 3 months and decided to look at it again(3rd time at least)! I never noticed the crack before!
