Hi Gents and Ladies. Could you confirm if this Jefferson nickel is a DDO or not. I looked for this year online but didn't see it listed in the jefferson DDO list. Thanks :)

If it is not listed, does not always mean that it is not, there are new DDR's and DDO's being discovered that were not listed. But in my opinion your coin looks more like a MD than a DDO ,looking at your close up images all devices look machine doubled and they are shrunk in size versus enlarged, note the upper serifs of the T and U , they are flat and all in the same direction.

Thank you for your help. And thanks on pics. I swear to god they never normally look like this lol. I took my original and magnified it by 300% and screenshotted it. My camera no matter what I try always seems as if I am taking a picture through a thin veil of mist. You know That horrible haze where you lose the detail crispness. Other times it looks like a pro shot it. Even on super macro on a copystand and 10sec delay setting makes no difference. I am just wondering if a 35mm camera is not best suited to that close a detail?

Each area affected, you can see where the device was reduced by MD. Images are too close to show a doubled die. If we have to look that close, then it is too minor to consider. 3-5 devices per image would be a better guide on what you have, if it is collectable or not for normal sets of images. The problem is with looking too close, is nothing looks like something.
